How to add a video to Google Docs?

Learn to add a video to Google Docs. Open Google Docs, find location to add video link, type text to represent video link, Click "Insert">"Text" >"Link"> "Apply".

Unfortunately, you cannot directly add a video to a Google Docs document. Google Docs is primarily designed for creating text documents, so it does not have the capability to embed videos within a document.

However, you can add a link to a video hosted on a video sharing platform like YouTube or Vimeo. Here's how:

  1. Open the Google Docs document where you want to add the video.
  2. Find the location in the document where you want to add the video link.
  3. Type out some text to represent the video link (for example, "Click here to watch the video").
  4. Highlight the text you just typed, and then click the "Insert link" button in the toolbar (or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+K on Windows or Command+K on Mac).
  5. In the "Text" field, the highlighted text should already be entered. In the "Link" field, paste the URL of the video you want to link to.
  6. Click "Apply" to create the link.

If anyone presses the link, then the video is opened in new browser tab.
