Google Docs is a free, web-based word processing software offered by Google as part of the Google Drive suite of online productivity tools. It allows users to create and edit documents, spreadsheets, and presentations online while collaborating with others in real-time.
To make something a heading in Google Docs, you can use the following steps:
- Highlight the text you want to turn into a heading.
- Click on the "Normal text" drop-down menu in the formatting toolbar at the top of the page.
- Select the appropriate heading level from the options that appear, such as "Heading 1", "Heading 2", "Heading 3", and so on.
Alternatively, you can use keyboard shortcuts to apply headings to text:
- Highlight the text you want to turn into a heading.
- Press Ctrl + Alt + 1 (for Heading 1), Ctrl + Alt + 2 (for Heading 2), or Ctrl + Alt + 3 (for Heading 3), and so on, depending on the level of the heading you want to use.
After heading is applied to the document, it will appear in a larger font and with a bolded style by default, and will be included in the document's table of contents if you choose to add one.
